If you must, ask a rhetorical question.

Do not use difficult words that you are uncomfortable with.

Use simple words you are totally confident in using.

Try not to repeat the same word in the same sentence.

Don't use 2 descriptive or feeling words using 'and'.

 

#Rule 5

Talk about one thing, and one thing only.

 

#Rule 6

If you get nervous and have nothing to say, go right to the conclusion.

Make 'Honest excuses' later. Not in the beginning.

[IM시리즈 001. 쉬운 단어들을 쓰면 오픽에서 더 높은 점수를 받을수 있습니다]

- Ava 한테 질문하지 않기, 질문할 때는 대답이 필요없는 질문을 할것

ex) You wanna know about my place?

- 어려운 단어 쓰지 않기, 자신있는 간단한 단어 사용하기

- 한 문장에서 같은 단어 사용하지 않기

ex) This place is a very small place (x)> It's a very small place, My place is very small (o)

- 무언가를 묘사하거나 감정 단어 2개를 말할 때 and 사용하지 않기 (스크립트처럼 들림), 두 문장으로 나눠서 말하기

ex) My room is comfy and cozy (x)> My room is just so, you know, comfy. i mean, it's just so cozy! (o)

- 한가지 주제에 대해서만 말하기

- 마무리할 때 Thats all 사용하지 않기

- 질문이 A/B/C/D/E 여러개여도 A 하나를 정해서 99%말하고 나머지 B/C/D/E 1%말하기

- 질문의 답변은 4가지 카테고리 설명, 습관, 과거경험, 비교가 있다.

- Yeah 는 한번만 쓰기, 여러번 쓰면 감점

- 대답이 짧다고 다른 주제나 어려운 단어 말하지 않기

- 긴장되고 할말이 없을 때 바로 결론으로 가기

* 룰7 솔직한 변명은 나중에 하기

ex) 솔직히 잘 기억은 안나는데 ~  로 시작 (x), 나 ~ 했는데 사실은 잘 기억이 안나 (o)

* MP(메인 포인트) 현재 > 과거 > 현재(메인포인트 부가 설명) > 결론 순서로 말하기 

MP(메인 포인트)는 현재에 집중

- 두번째 질문 들을 때 카테고리 전략 생각, MP가 무엇인지

면접관들은 하루종일 비슷한 답변만 듣기 때문에 면접관들이 재밌어 할만한 TMI 답변을 준비해도 괜찮음 (웃긴 방귀, 똥 얘기)

 

방귀에 대한 표현

-let it rip/ let one rip - ex) I let it rip. 나 방귀꼈어.

-cut cheese - ex) I was at starbucks and all of a sudden I had to cut cheese. 스타벅스에 있었는데 갑자기 방귀가 나왔어.

-thunder from down under - ex) I was at the bar with my friends the other day, and all of a sudden i felt a little thunder from down under. 나 친구랑 바에 있었는데, 갑자기 방귀가 뀌고 싶었어.

-silent but deadly - ex) I cut cheese in the restaurant, and i was hoping that no one would find out. I mean, it was silent, but deadly. 나 식당에서 방귀꼈어. 아무도 모르길 바랐는데.. 조용했는데 냄새가 많이 났나봐.

 

똥에 대한 표현 

-number 1 소변

-number 2 대변

-take a dump 쓰레기 = 똥 - ex) I felt like taking a dump during the meeting. Oh, the timing was terrible. 미팅시간에 응가가 너무 마려웠어. 타이밍이 최악이었어.

-deuce it 똥 - ex) I had to deuce it 나 응가 해야만 했어.

1. No matter what, whenever I need to go somewhere, I always take the 'subway or bus'.

2. This is crucial. It's quite rare for me to take other options.

6. I still don't, but i love how it helps me to kill time especilally while I'm commuting.

- 설날과 추석은 Holiday로 추천하지 않음. 왜냐하면 90% 넘는 학생들이 설날과 추석에 대해 얘기하기 때문에 스크립트라고 생각할수도 있음

- ndependence Day(광복절)도 비추천. 너무 어려운 주제

- IHU14는 사람과 사회에 관한 문제 따라서 I like / we like / people / people in Korea like / Koreans like / People think 으로 답변하면 좋음 

ex) in my opinion, I think Koreans love Buddha's bday and Christmas Day. We like them for different reasons.

- General MP는 심플한 것이 최고, 너무 많이 얘기하면 A,B에서 할 얘기가 없음

- MP는 30초를 넘지 말것, General MP는 20초 이하

I think it's the world's most uncomfortable chair / It's not soft at all / I DON'T KNOW why i bought such an uncomfortable chair / I must've been crazy. I shouldn't have ~
